Azadeh's Vision is that:
All Gypsies and Travellers, their families, and communities have opportunities to meet their dreams and aspirations.
Azadeh Community Network Ltd is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, established to manage local authority-owned Gypsy and Traveller sites and provide a range of support services to users. Azadeh was established in October 2007 to respond to a diverse range of identified needs of the Gypsy and Traveller community.
Our Aims are:
- People have access to accommodation of their choice.
- People and their communities are respected and valued.
- Everyone has access to education and training.
- Everyone has access to good healthcare.
- Everyone experiences good health and wellbeing.
- To contribute positively to national and local policies that affect the people we work with.
- Everyone has the opportunity to influence the organisations that affect their lives.
We are committed to working for all communities to have their lifestyles, culture and traditions valued. We aim to promote harmony, co-operation and understanding between Gypsies and Travellers and other communities for mutual benefit and understanding. Azadeh works towards providing a living environment for Gypsies and Travellers that is free from prejudice and discrimination and is commited to working with other agencies and support groups to provide services and information to Gypsies and Travellers and to ensure that these are delivered in a culturally appropriate manner.
